Funded by: Lifelong Learning Programme of the Education, Audiovisual, Culture executive Agency of the European Union

UK - Ibis Creative Consultants Ltd.
Project Goal:
To support the dyslexic individual all over Europe by promoting better dyslexia provision in education, vocational training systems and in employment.

EMBED looks to combine the experience, products and findings of a series of projects that have had a greater or lesser impact upon the dyslexic individual, - in particular that related to projects funded by the EU - and ensure that these good practices are embedded into all aspects relating to the dyslexic individual, from government policy, to school practice. We will also try to identify and clarify previous areas of problems and weaknesses and create more effective implementation of real and tangible change in provision through dynamic dissemination activities. The project partners will proactively encourage the diverse user groups to reflect on their current provision and support, and to make effective changes through a series of self-analysis tools developed by synthesising the experiences of the past projects.
Аctivities of the project:
  • Identification and profiling, support for adults and children, with particular reference to Project Include, Adstrain and ESF.
  • The role of technology in supporting the individual with dyslexia, with particular reference to Provision and Use, Calldysc, and Edysgate.
  • Continuity of experience in Lifelong Learning with particular reference to Dystrain and Adystrain.
  • Embedding into the mainstream of education through policies and implementation strategies, with reference to all the projects.

One School for All

One School for All is our most encompassing and wide-reaching cause, our raison d’etre. Our ultimate goal is comprehensive introduction and application of the principles of inclusive education.

Inclusive education is a process of changing the school environment based on respect and acceptance of other people. It implies wise management of school processes in a way which makes children feel supported to develop their capacity and to overcome hardships; which makes teachers feel encouraged and confident that they are able to cope with the growing challenges, while parents are able to assume their responsibility and role in partnership with schools.
